Kebun Baru Ridge BTO is HDB's June 2026 Plus project in Ang Mo Kio: 485 flats (95 3-room, 390 4-room) with an estimated waiting time of 37 months (HDB Annex A, June 2026). HDB has not published a completion date. What your renovation costs depends mostly on one box you ticked at flat selection: the Optional Component Scheme.
If you booked a flat here, you probably want to know three things: when the keys come, what the flat looks like on the day, and how much to set aside to make it liveable. Some pages that rank for this project answer the first with a calendar date HDB never gave. This page uses HDB's own launch documents for every fact, and the live RCS store for every price.
Kebun Baru Ridge BTO at a Glance
The project is a compact one: three blocks of 20 to 21 storeys on Ang Mo Kio Avenue 2, holding all 485 flats (HDB sales brochure, 2026). The brochure's floor plans cover Blocks 183A, 184A and 184B. For transport, the brochure points to buses and to Mayflower, a Thomson-East Coast Line station.

Kebun Baru Ridge is not Kebun Baru Breeze. Both are June 2026 Plus projects in Ang Mo Kio, but Breeze offers 2-room Flexi and 4-room flats with a 52-month estimated wait, against 37 months for Ridge (HDB Annex A). Check your booking letter before you plan against either one. For the whole June 2026 launch across all seven projects, see our June 2026 BTO renovation cost guide.
When Is the Kebun Baru Ridge Completion Date?
HDB has not given Kebun Baru Ridge a completion date. It gives a waiting time: 37 months in Annex A, which the brochure rounds to about three years and a month. In its launch release, HDB pointed buyers who want to move in sooner to the 485 flats at Ridge (HDB, June 2026).
Here is how HDB counts that figure. Annex A says the clock runs from the median month in which buyers select their flats to the median month in which the project's blocks are projected to finish (HDB Annex A). Two things follow from that.
- The clock starts at flat selection, not at the launch. Applications ran from 17 to 24 June 2026 (HDB). Buyers then get a queue position and a flat booking appointment later (HDB Annex B).
- It is a median across blocks. One block can finish before another.
Our arithmetic, not an HDB date: 37 months counted from June 2026 lands in July 2029. HDB counts from the median selection month, which comes after June. So treat July 2029 as the earliest date our count can give, not as your key date. Calendar dates you may see quoted elsewhere for this project are estimates of the same kind; no such date appears in HDB's launch documents.
Your own probable completion date will show in HDB's records once your flat is booked. Our guide to the probable completion date explains how to read it, and the HDB BTO completion date tracker lists other projects for comparison.
What Being a Plus Flat Means for You
Kebun Baru Ridge is a Plus project. HDB gives Plus and Prime flats extra subsidies, and in return they come with stricter conditions. Owners must live in the flat for a 10-year Minimum Occupation Period (MOP). When they later sell, they pay HDB a share of the resale price or the valuation, whichever is higher. For Kebun Baru Ridge that share is 8% (HDB, June 2026).
For renovation, this means you are planning for at least ten years in the flat before you can sell it. So pick finishes for how long they last, not only for the price on the day. A floor you will want to replace in year five is a poor buy.
What Your Flat Arrives With (and What Is Optional)
Every Kebun Baru Ridge flat comes with these, according to the brochure (HDB sales brochure, 2026):
- Floor tiles in the bathrooms, the household shelter and the kitchen/utility (3-room) or the kitchen and service yard (4-room).
- Wall tiles in the bathrooms and the kitchen (kitchen/utility in the 3-room).
- A water closet suite in the bathrooms.
Everything else on the floor and door list is optional. The brochure's specification lists these items as optional:
| Item | HDB specification | Without OCS |
|---|---|---|
| Living, dining and dry kitchen floor | Porcelain tiles and skirting | Not provided |
| Bedroom floor | Vinyl strips and skirting | Not provided |
| Bedroom and bathroom doors | Laminated UPVC door | Not provided |
| Bathroom fittings | Basin, tap and shower set | Not provided |
The Optional Component Scheme (OCS) is something you choose to join, and if you join, HDB adds the cost of these items to your flat price (HDB sales brochure). So there are two kinds of Kebun Baru Ridge flat on handover day: one with floors, doors and bathroom fittings in place, and one with bare screeds in the living room and bedrooms.
Two more brochure details matter when you plan the work. Wiring is hidden in the walls, with points already set for the water heater and air-con. The sanitary pipes are left exposed, and they may sit at the service yard or air-con ledge. And the household shelter is off limits: HDB does not allow its walls, ceiling, floor or door to be hacked, drilled or changed. Any shelf or cabinet plan for that room has to stand free of its walls.
Kebun Baru Ridge Renovation Cost: Matching the Package to Your OCS Choice
Once you know which flat you will receive, the scope almost picks itself. Here is how the live RCS BTO packages line up with the two handover states, priced from the RCS store on 28 October 2026.
| Your flat | Did you opt in to OCS? | Package that fits | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3-room | No | 3-room bare-unit package (vinyl) | S$12,990 |
| 3-room | Yes | 3-room move-in package | S$7,290 |
| 4-room | No | 4-room bare-unit package (vinyl) | S$14,990 |
| 4-room | Yes | 4-room move-in package | S$7,390 |
Without OCS, the bare-unit package fills the gap HDB leaves. The 3-room version lays floor screed and LVT vinyl in the living, dining and bedrooms up to 500 sqft; the 4-room version covers up to 700 sqft.
Both add 10 ft of top and bottom kitchen cabinets with a quartz countertop, the sink and tap, a 15L storage heater, a hood and 2-burner hob, and whole-house painting (3-room, 4-room product pages). Internal doors and the basin and shower set are not in the listed scope, so ask for them in the same quote.
With OCS, you already paid HDB for floors and doors. A move-in package covers the same kitchen, heater and painting scope without the flooring (3-room at S$7,290, 4-room at S$7,390). Paying a contractor to lay vinyl over new HDB flooring is money spent twice.
Prices change, so the product page on the day you book is the one that counts. To compare every tier, see the 3-room BTO renovation packages and 4-room BTO renovation packages. When you contact RCS, bring your floor plan, block number, OCS choice and keys date; that is enough for a first look at scope. Our area guides for 3-room HDB renovation in Ang Mo Kio and 4-room HDB renovation in Ang Mo Kio cover the town's older flats too.
What to Do Between Now and Keys
- Find your OCS choice in writing. It decides whether you need a bare-unit or a move-in scope, and it is the first thing any contractor should ask.
- Keep the brochure floor plan for your block. Blocks 183A, 184A and 184B each have their own plans. Note where the sanitary stacks and the household shelter sit; both limit where cabinets can go.
- Budget for ten years, not two. The 10-year MOP means the finishes you pick will see a decade of use before you can sell.
- Watch your probable completion date, not a blog's. Plan the renovation around the date HDB gives you, and expect blocks to finish at different times.
- Expect some facilities to open later. HDB's brochure says the blocks may be finished before the planned precinct facilities, so buyers can collect keys sooner.
- Line up permits and a licensed contractor before keys. Our HDB renovation permit guide and BTO key collection checklist cover the order of steps. RCS is a renovation contractor, so check any contractor's licence, ours included, before you sign.
One caution on scope: a renovation package is for the work you choose, not for fixing defects in the new flat. Note any defects at key collection and deal with them first; the key collection checklist linked above shows what to look for.

Kebun Baru Ridge FAQ
When will Kebun Baru Ridge be completed?
HDB has not published a completion date. It gives an estimated waiting time of 37 months, counted from the median month of flat selection to the median projected completion month of the blocks. By our own arithmetic (an estimate, not an HDB date), 37 months from the June 2026 launch is July 2029, and completion falls later because flat selection came after the launch. Your own date will appear in HDB's records once your flat is booked.
Does a Kebun Baru Ridge flat come with flooring and doors?
Only if you opted in to HDB's Optional Component Scheme. Without it, the living, dining and bedroom floors, the bedroom and bathroom doors, and the wash basin and shower set are not provided. Every flat does come with floor and wall tiles in the bathrooms and kitchen, floor tiles in the household shelter, and a water closet suite in the bathrooms.
What is the subsidy recovery for Kebun Baru Ridge?
As a Plus project, Kebun Baru Ridge has a 10-year Minimum Occupation Period. When you sell after it, you pay HDB 8% of the resale price or the valuation price, whichever is higher (HDB June 2026 launch release).
How is Kebun Baru Ridge different from Kebun Baru Breeze?
Both are June 2026 Plus projects in Ang Mo Kio. Ridge has 3-room and 4-room flats and a 37-month estimated wait. Breeze has 2-room Flexi and 4-room flats and a 52-month estimated wait, according to HDB's Annex A. If you booked a 3-room in Ang Mo Kio in this launch, it is at Ridge.
Disclaimer: this page summarises HDB's June 2026 launch documents and RCS's published package prices as of 28 October 2026. HDB may change project details, and renovation scope and cost vary by unit, OCS choice and HDB approval. Confirm the details for your own flat before you commit.
